Photographs taken by engineer Henry Lane of the Boston Post newspaper and the Presto Recording Apparatus of Boston, Mass., 1935-39, pertaining to the research and development of a sound camera and other recording equipment. The photographs depict the electrical system for a camera that Lane was developing in 1937, as well as his lab and equipment. There are also three test filmstrips inscribed with notations Lane's hand.
